water temp gauge where did you tap into??

So does anyone have a photo of the Prosport water temp sensor that goes inbetween the upper radiator hose? I wanna see how it looks on a car. I think its much cheaper than tryin to tap into anything.

I've seen a few pictures of this splice-type of attempt to get a decent temp gauge installed . . .I personally think it looks like crap. Definitely not clean at all, but I suppose it's functional.

Cleanest install I could think of is switch to a 1G water pipe and thermostat housing. . . plenty of room to put sensors in there.

Hmm. How much would those cost then does anyone know? Also what all would I need to switch it to make it easier on me and do I need to mod anything to get the 1g parts to fit?

can probably get em dirt cheap from a junk yard or the classifieds . . . dealership is an option as well.

Only thing that I could see need be modifying is perhaps the lower radiator hose.
