Ok, I'm running a td05h-20g internally gated and It blow open when I'm running 20+psi. Is it possible to put a second port at the stock actuator to keep it shut with a ball and spring mbc? I'm thinking to something like this

My theory is that I can use the ball and spring mbc as a bleeder. for example if my stock wastegate actuator spring is good for 11psi of boost and I want to run 20 psi, I have to set my mbc to open at 9 psi. So I keep 9 psi to push against the bottom of the actuator diaphragm then it will take 20 psi to open it. May be I'm wrong but tell me what you think.

Please, no "buy a stiffer actuator " or things like that, I like to run stock 11psi boost on the street and rock solid high boost at the track. I'm looking to 22-25psi up to redline with no drop up top.

May be I must use two separate boost source instead of the first tee in the line?

the way Mine is hooked up off hallman pro boost controller. one vacuum line to my j pipe(intake leaving turbo) then the other vacuum line going to my waste gate. don't have anything T in the setup.

from there if you have a boost gauge, you just do a cpl of runs at its lowest setting and build it up from there until you get to the lbs you want to be running.

this photo doesn't show the whole connection but you can see for the most part how its set up, one coming off of my j pipe then the other going to the waste gate

Ball and spring controllers are junk. Get a mini regulator. Off the j-pipe take non regulated boost to top(or open) port, then put regulated boost to the bottom(close) port. Use the regulator to control the boost. Also you will have much more stable boost control if you take the reference from the uicp instead of the licp.

he only has one port...

I would say see if you can shim the actuator mount back to put more pre-laod on it while at rest.. on the 16g this is done by putting washers under the tabs that bolt to the compressor housing on the actuator, picture that and work on shimming more tension holding the gate close while at rest
