Waste gate options

So i am currently running punishment racing budget manifold,and about to get a good deal on a 50 trim.The thing is i will need external wg set up, thinking about 02 housing set up,so i can keep my current manifold.Then here comes the atmosphere dump vs recirculated option, guys pitch in with some advise.

Unless the wastegate is coming off of the manifold or you have a large turbo there is no purpose in going with dump. Recirculation for a 50mm is fine.

With a small amount of welding, you can still mount an external gate on the manifold that you have. At least that's what I'd do if I were in your situation.

As for atmosphere dump vs recirculated; it' all a matter of personal preference. If you don't mind the extra noise, then go for an atmosphere dump. If you'd like you hear your turbo spool, and have a quieter car under boost, then recirculate it.

I dont have a pic and i cant find my camra but It is basically this turbonetics manifold with the only difference of it being stock

an than all i did was had my internal wastegate welded
