hey guys i really need some helpi have an evo III big 16g turbo and it has the flapper for the waste gate welded shut and has an external waste gate.
the waste gate has 2 spots it looks like to screw something in but nothing else besides the dump tube out the bottom.
the wastegate is mounted to the exhaust manifold.
what do i do with the lines that ran to the turbo and the one that ran to a T-fitting and then tothe stock waste gate? there electronically controlled does this hurt the ecu?
what do i do with them?
i really need help on this turbo/waste gate install i have the rest of the car basically done . but this wastegate and turbo is proving to be a very big problem.
any advice or help would be great!
and sorry for the newb question but i am just really stuck!
thanks,
pat

are you talking about your mbc lines?

i am not sure they come from the right under where the stock air box would be and look like they hook up to eelectronics. then run to the stock wastegate and turbo.
is that where i tap in for my dual stage mbc?
and does any one know about the other q's i posted in the first post?

If you do a search on here there is lots of info about MBC & WG hookup. From factory you will have lines from the intake, the WG actuator & the BCS (little black thing on passenger side frame rail, with electrical plug). Remove all the stock hoses, you don't need them. Plug the nipple on the intake if it has one, cap the ports on the BCS (don't have to but good idea to keep crap out of there) but leave the BCS hooked up electrically. To hook up the MBC you need a pressure source, you will want to have the source from the compressor cover, jpipe or lower intercooler pipe. If it doesn't already have a barb in one of these locations you will need to drill & tap one of these locations for a 1/8" NPT barbed fitting. Run a vacuum line from this pressure source, to the MBC & then to the bottom port of the external WG. Depending on the WG, you need the proper barbed fitting to screw into the threaded ports on the WG. For example Tial uses a banjobolt style barb fitting.
