I know the first step is going to be lowering springs and shocks but Im wondering what you guys think i should replace also...such as bushings sway bars or whatever...Please let me know especially if you have done it yourself...thanks

On my 2G the sway bars made a big difference. Huge improvement in cornering stability. Hell, if I could only choose one suspension upgrade I would probably take the sway bars over the springs (after better tires of course). I can't say for sure with regards to the 1G but I would think the same applies.

Rule of thumb for shocks and springs is usually to avoid ebay. Sure it's cheap, but cheap is cheap LOL.

There's a parts catalong on this site that has a lot of good quality products referenced in it. I'd suggest you take a look in there and see what kind of prices you're looking at and pick something that fits your budget.

Also, on a FWD car, a rear sway bar is the only sway bar you'll need. Stiffening up the front one will only make you understeer more... which is bad in a nut shell.
