want some opinions on what to do

Ok, I have a 93 Laser NA with over 250,000 kms. I have spent a couple grand on it over the course of 2 years. Right now I use the car as a daily driver.
My first problem is that I know I will have to replace certain things soon like clutch, brakes, fuel pump, etc. My problem with this is that I don't really want to put more money into a car with high mileage.

In a couple months I will be getting an insurance settlement cheque which will most likely be at least 3K. Now I am thinking of selling the laser and getting either a 240sx, MR-2, 2G AWD Eclipse, or financing a Skyline GTS-t. The first ones I would have to start from scratch and put some money into them, but the Skyline would already have everything I want and I would not need to put much into it.

What do you guys think I should do?

Skyline, in canada, im assuming in the US thats a G35, get one their badass.

No he means an imported Skyline from Japan. We can do that up here as long as the car is a certain number of years old.

Sell it I say and buy a 2G awd Talon. The Skyline will suck you dry and leave you with no money. Parts are hard to find and labour is a bi*** on a car that no mechanic has seen before over here.

Yup.
Unless you got a good job and lots of money then buy the skyline, otherwise stay with the talon.

actually, there is a shop about 25 minutes away that imports and maintains Skyline's and that is their speciality. So repairs and parts and all that would not be hard to get at all. Also, they state on their website that the parts are relatively inexpensive compared to other similar cars. They also do every upgrade available.

Yeah, money would be an issue but I'm hoping to get into a higher paying job by the summer. thanks for the opinions, keep em coming

P.S. In Canada we can import a car that is 15 years or older so right now they are bringing in R32 models and R33 models by 2009.
