so cal,
California
I installed the walbro 255 fp last weekend and I have a few questions. I noticed that when taking the oem unit out of the assembly, it was sitting in it pretty firmly and I had to pull on it pretty hard to get it to come off the assembly, but when I put the walbro unit in the assembly, it's not sitting there as firm as the stock unit was. I can pull on the walbro unit and it comes off pretty easily. Is it supposed to be like that? The walbro unit also sits on the assembly loosely, without the bottom bracket and screw on, is it supposed to be like that? The oem unit was actually sitting nice and firm in place even when the bracket and screw was off of the oem unit.
Also, the hard fuel line on top, I pretty much bent the crap out of it, not that bad, but Im pretty sure it's bad enough to cause a restriction, is there anyway for me to just replace that hard line? I would hate to have to cut it and use some high pressure fuel line in place, although that isnt a bad idea because I cant get the ####ing white cap to screw back on the fuel tank.
Thanks.
