got a guy that wants to sell me a walboro 255 in tank fuel pump. but its for a 91 i think he said and he is confused on wether or not it will go in my car since apparently some are in the trunk and some are under seat? the sending units are what he thinks are different. can someone tell me if his 255 will go in my car if he says it goes in trunk on left side.

Doing a bit of research, the pumps sell by 1g and 2g then awd and fwd. so that makes me think they won't bolt on the car. The hangers are different but I don't see how the actual pump is different but I could be wrong. I just never seem a awd pump next to a fwd or a 1g pump next to a 2v pump. If you have time just give it a go.

it will work fine... just go to vfaq.com and check out the fuel pump install... good tips there... rewire kit would be good to do at same time. so u will have less chance of inconsistant pressure. goodluck;)

I have a 91 Talon TSi and just got the Walbro 255lph for my car. But it needs a Fuel Pressure Regulator as well. The new pump is to much for the stock one. It won't run right unless you can set your base pressure correctly.

Also I'm assuming the pump is a Walbro 255AWD? I looked around and they're sold for 1g's. So you should be fine granted you have the parts needed.

They are the same. Gas tank location is the difference and that's determined by AWD or FWD, not by year.
