VRSF 1G FMIC not fitting right!

Hey all, maybe I'm just being dumb here, but it just doesn't seem like my new FMIC is wide enough. When I test fit it and line up the left side with the radiator support hole, the right one isn't even close! I just don't see how this thing is supposed to fit!

Can someone with a 1gb take some pics of how much they cut or let me know if this thing is way off or what? Pretty hard to figure how much bigger to make those holes when I can't even come close to getting the pipe in there.

It looks like there is something wrong with the driver side core. Looks like its either crooked toward center or it was welded like that. You should only have to either cut out the D shaped holes or use a BFH to bend the metal to fit the piping. You got a messed up core from the looks of it

BTW I also have A VRSF. Put it on a few months ago

I hear ya. It sucks yes. But contact VRspeed and let them know. hopefully they still got them instock so you can get a replacement asap. While ## in there go ahead and cut the crash beam up so that when you get the new one all you will need to do is install it. Also cut up the D holes

Yeah that's odd. Must have been welded incorrectly from the factory.

I posted before contacting you to make sure there was not a simple fix (or that I wasn't seeing something obvious) and get an answer before bothering you with something that may have had no cause for the bother.

A friend of mine is having the Exact same problem right now. It's almost like the drivers side pipe was welded on crooked.

Was a minor issue. Tiago corrected it promptly and it fit like a glove after the correction.

i know this is old but i have the same issue is it something you had to send in? i just contacted them and got a reply email just need to send in pictures just curious what was your fix

His fix was a new core. This is a problem with the latest batch that I'm making sure gets corrected on our next order. There's two ways to fix it, cut and weld the pipe at a different angle or shoot it back to us and we'll send you a new core that's been measured
