Had a quick question for you guys. Tried searching around but to no avail.

There's a guy local with a VR Speed FMIC for a 1g BNIB for 125. I have a 96 GSX and was wondering if this core would bolt up? How hard would it be to make bracket modifications etc....I was planning on picking up a welder this week and getting into that anyway. I'm going to use custom piping.

The deal seems too good to pass up if all I need to do is make some brackets. But if it won't fit behind my bumper or something major i'll have to pass. Thanks.

I was under the impression that the VRSF kit would require cutting of some brackets and relocation of the overflow coolant tank when installed on a 1g. I'm not certain but I believe that a 2gs engine bay is even more cramped than a 1g is so while I'm sure it's certainly possible, I don't know that you'll want to go to the lengths it might take to make it work. Hell for 125 bucks though I'd probably snag it up anyway and ebay it if it's in good shape. That's just me though.

Yeah I was thinking bout slinging it off to make up for some other parts i've had to put in. Only downside is my car failed emissions horribly. Part of it was some bad boost leaks with the stock piping and stock BOV. So I wanted to get a new FMIC and piping on there ASAP. I'll sort it out though. Thanks!
