On my 95 gsx the stock radio volume knob is being glitchy. If I slowly turn the volume up or down click by click usually it'll work but if I turn it fast sometimes there's like a 30 second lag until it turns the volume up or down. My car was sitting for a couple months because I was trying to fix my abs system. Turned out to be the g sensor. I did have the disconnect the radio to get to replace the g sensor but I'm pretty positive I connected everything back correctly. Everything works fine on the radio, still get fm/am, put in the radio code to unlock it, if I press the volume button it turns the radio on and off, it's just the volume knob when turning it there's an issue. I heard it might be an encoder problem?

I've had this problem on several 2g radios. The encoder fails and only registers some of the time. If you could find a supplier of a comparable encoder, you could solder it to the circuit board. Otherwise, I haven't found a reliable repair
I saw on youtube electrical cleaner in a spray can, can work. I'd like to keep the stock radio hopefully the cleaner will fix it or someone can repair it. I'll post results from the cleaner in a couple days if I can get it at harbor freight.
