The clear coat is starting to go bad. I'll probably end up painting the hood with the rest of the car... whenever that happens.

Would it be more to clear coat the hood since it's carbon fiber? Or would it cost about the same as a regular clear coat job?

no, just be sure to use UV resistant clearcoat. The reason you see CF hoods yellow is because the resin they use is broken down by UV rays. A quality shop will clear it proper.

i personally like your current hood better, i think it flows better with the 2gb look and the hood you want flows with 2ga
