Ok I am about to order the miscellaneous parts for my car. My friend is a parts guy at subaru and he is going to ge me the parts from mitsubishi. Unfortunately the parts guys at mitsubishi arent the brightest when I tell them I have a 92 6 bolt. They want an exact VIN#. My car is miles away and I cant get to it at the moment. So I am asking can somebody with a 92 Tsi FWD (6 bolt) give me a VIN to use so i can give them to get these parts I would greatly appreciate it.

Now Im about to start my rebuild and I'm thinkin about all the miscellaneous parts I will need. Please add to the list if im forgeting something.

OEM Gasket overhaul Kit
Battery
Oil
Break Fluid

Just tell them it's a 91 and be done with it. They shouldn't need the VIN.

Ok from what I hear the 1990's are different. I wasnt sure if the 91's are different.

Or look up the part numbers yourself using CAPS. That way you can supply them with part numbers to avoid getting the wrong stuff.

Although, I wouldn't recommend the dealership for things like fluids and plugs anyway.

O ok well it doesnt really have to come from the dealr he can get me the hook up anywear ths around him. Do you have any suggestions on what kind of oil
10w-30 ect. (I stay in md its getting cold eagle rods maley pistons aluglide barings) I was going to try Redline.

Ya jus tell them it's a 91 good sugeestion..

They don't need the vin..Those people just don't know how to work the program..But the program also doesn't say anything about 6 bolt..When you look up the car in ASA, you just pick the year from a menu..

For The oem gasket overhaual.. Summit racing sells a good set..Which I'm suprised a certain mod hasn't said anthing about that yet..LOL

Everything else you can find at your local parts stores...

And on second thought..Even if you have the Mits(ASA) program on your computer and tell the parts guys what part you need ordered..It seems like they are even stupid then..You tell them the part you need and they still give you greif about it, and ask a bunch of questions..Just order me the damm part..

90 was the Oddball. Still a 6 bolt. 91- half of 92 were 6 bolts. After they're all 7 bolts. So when in doubt about a 6 bolt and it's not a 90', just say you have a 91.

Not entirely true Keiya..

There is a really good chance that after 92.5 there all 7 bolts..But for 92 and 93 you could actually still order a 6 bolt in your 92.5 or 93..

There is at least one guy I know of on tuners with a factory 6 bolt in his 93..I Don't remember his name..But I thought you should know..But to generalize it, yes after 92.5 they should be all 7 bolts..
