Very Weird Problem, Please Help!

I just bought a 92 Talon TSI FWD and the car has only one problem. When I hit the brakes, the engine turns off and I have to start the car back up while moving or stopped. It doesn't do this everytime I hit the brakes, just sometimes, and it is very, very annoying. I had the car looked at by a mechanic and the battery and alternator checked out fine. He said that there might be a short in the wiring somewhere, but he is not sure. I am taking it to a wiring place, but I have a feeling they won't find anything. If anybody has any suggestions on what this might be, please help, I'd like to get this fixed as soon as possible! Thanks!

I would double check your connections on the battery. The batter might be good but if you're connecters aren't on good it could do that.

Sounds like a short in the brake light circuitry. As a test temporarily disconnect the brake light switch on the brake pedal to prove if that's it. If so and you need more help, PM me.

Tie down the battery. The positive terminal is shorting against the underside of the hood.
