on my dsm, i have an ems and a aeromotive 1000 fuel pump. i used to turn my key to on without starting the car, and the fuel pump would turn on. i tried starting the car today, turn the key to on, didnt hear the pump so i thought that was weird. i turn the key, the car starts. fuel pressure goes up to normal psi and then falls off to zero. car runs for a minute, and the gas light comes on, and the car dies. thought it may have ran out of gas so i added 5 gallons, turn the key back to on, couldnt hear the fuel pump. start the car, and it starts up fine but the fuel pressure gauge reads no pressure. What the hell is going on?

took the regulator gauge out, still full of liquid, dont see how that could go bad. a bunch of fuel came out when i unscrewed it though, is it supposed to do this?

clogged lines? get some seafoam, that will clear out most of your problems. unless ## fuel pump is bad.

Did you rewire your fuel pump? I would check all the wiring to the fuel pump. Make sure the protective coating around the wires are good, otherwise they can be shorting out. Check fuses, and also chack your fuel filter. I would check the fuel pressure adjustment screw as well sometimes with vibration the lock nut can loosen and mess up your settings.

checked the rewire, its good. regulator itself seems fine.. but should fuel come out when i take the gauge off?

im pretty sure thats normal ecspecially if there is fuel pressure in the lines. because on the back of the guage is where the pressure is read by the guage itself. it will leak from there unless you depressurize the fuel system first. can you check the voltage that you fuel pump is getting to make sure its the right amount, did u check the fuel filter?
