im having a problem with my car that i cannot seem to fix. Say i am in first gear and i mat it, as soon as the car starts building a good amount of boost the car will loose power and the headlights will shut off until i let off the gas. this is really annoying and i cant fix it. It feels like it is crazy turbo lag, and it should not be doing this. It pretty much cuts out the power. checked the harness, alternator, battery, fuses and everything is good. nothing is grounded out anywhere i checked about 20 times. mpi relay is good. any ideas?

i also checked over the harness for about a good hour once again tonight, and could not find anything unordinary. anybody else have any suggestions?

1) When it loses power does it also lose other electrical power like radio, interior lights, etc?
2) Does it also lose power (hp, electrical, both) if you gradually increase speed to max?
3) When you turn on all accessories (lights, blower fan, wipers, rear window defroster) does it get worse sooner (like loses power at lower rpm)?
If yes to any of these you most likely have a bad battery, alternator, poor grounds, or short.
When it loses power does the engine miss a lot? If so your coil may be internally shorting under high current load.
