After searchign on fixes for a non working AC (nopower to relay activation +pin)
I started looking in the passenger kick well for the ACCU, well i found a small metal box just under where the wires go out to the passenger door..I unplugged it and pluged it back in realizing it wasn't the ACCU then the strangest things happened
1.) although the MFI relay would cycle on, there was no power to the engine (CAS, COILS etc..)
2.) although i could ground the FP relay and make it work the ECU wouldn't do it (stad alone haltech)
There was also no ignition signal from the ECU which my J&S tells me upon the first ignition event
So, that night i checked, cut, solderedand re-checked every ECU wire in the car until 4:30 last night = no luck
I pulled the ECU put it on a power suppply and spare harness in my house and EVERYTHING worked as it should
So, i went to bed, with a charger on the battery since i had ran it down working on the car. Then today i wake up, plug the ECU in and viola! I have ignition, fuel pumprelay kicks on and everything is as normal
any idea what that box was and why it was doing what it was?
Also..i moved the fuse box from under the hood to inside th bumper and that's when the AC started working...there's powerto the fuse, and if i jump the prongs where the relay kicks in the compressor it worlks fine (thehaltech also hadnles AC request) and has for years just fine
Now the other day the compressor would comeon only with the defroster, but not on vent ... Also the lowest fan setting does not work either..any ideas what i'm looking at on this, and is it safe to run a new power othe +pin of the AC relay activation circuit???
Also, anyone have a 97 ACCU for sale???? (cheap or trade)
