Verify oil engine is prime

I have my engine on the stand ready to drop just need to install timing belt took a drill and turn the oil pump but I don’t see any oil going to the head how do I verify that it’s prime?

You see oil in the head. If you don't then it isn't primed. How long did you spin it and did you use any lube in the pump etc. You are spinning clockwise?
Dumb question but you did put oil in the pan?

i put oil in the oil pump and assembly lube and maybe a minute at most. I’m spinning it clockwise and yes oil pan is on but no oil is coming out on the head

it finally primed I was spinning it for about two minutes straight and felt the drill get hard and it squirted in my glasses

You just soft balled a really easy joke in there.. but I am going to resist not going to touch it hahaha.
