I was reading this thread but it got off topic before I got all the answers that I wanted:

http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=57944

I am looking into getting a VCE because the closest AWD dyno is three hours away and we have a 2WD dyno five minutes from my house. I would also like to be able to tow my car without having to use a flat-bed trailer simply because you can pick up a tow dolly for a lot cheaper than a flat-bed trailer.

My questions are do you have to have a welded center diff in order for the car to put down it's full potential on a 2WD dyno? I am mainly going to be using it for tuning purposes but I would like to know what the car is putting out.

Secondly, are there any problems associated with towing an AWD on a dolly with a VCE in? I don't want to end up having to swap rear ends before I have to.

Thanks in advance for the help. :thumb:

the car will dyno the same with a welded diff or vce. You will need to remove the drive shaft and transfer case to tow the car on a dolly or dyno the car.
