what are everyones thoughts on brian crower ss valves and brian crower guides.
Also is it necessary to replace the roller rockers when rebuilding a head
Originally gonna go with supertech valves and guides

What are your HP goals? How much boost? and what cams do you plan on?

You can Hit ebay and pick up the Engnbldr bronze guides, also the valves in SDT, personally I would get the +1mm os valves and you will save some cash.

The Engnbldr valves will take what you are looking for.

Thanks man LOL i actually used search after i posted and took your advice from another thread about those valves ordered the 1mm over todays and the guides.
Would u recommend getting evo roller rockers or oem dsm roller rockers.

Like Chad said the stock followers will be fine, but if you stumble over a set of the Evos at a fair price, they will not hurt.

Running engnbldr valves in my motor with no issues thus far. hks 272's, evo springs/retainers, stock locks, e85, FP3065 pushing 30psi.

I waa gonna order new dsm rockers but they want 192 for all of them figured evo ones might be the same price with a better design

Whats wrong with the followers you have now?

Sticky/gritty/frozen wheels?

Or just want to change them due to age?

I think the money spent on the followers, would be better spent on a top shelf spring /retainer kit to handle the 288 cams.

Kiggley, Bee Mad, Ferrea, or GSC 5041 spring kit.

Just want to replace to to age and i planned on getting the gsc beehive spring retainer kit

Inspect them and just replace what is needed.

Check where the HLA and where the valve tip rubs.

there just all brown and yucky no nicks or anythign some dull spots
how long do the lifters last i had the 3g revised for about 500 miles can i reuse them or shoul di buy new

Bleed and reuse! No need to waste money unless you found metal shavings or anything that could lead you to suspect there clogged.

Ok kool ill just bleed and reuse ill take pics of my roller rockers
Tommarow see what u think

Engnblders bronze guides are a few thousands too big which means a few more hours of labor for the machine shop. unless he changed who he gets the guides from in the last year they will be too big and you'll spend another 200 in labor.

his valves are good though LOL i use them all the time

I have never found an issue with his bronze guides, no telling how many I have installed.
