I have heard repeated recommendations for engnbldr stainless valves and they appear to be very well made and at a good price point, so i am looking at purchasing a set.

I have noticed there are packages which include bronze valve guides and 3mm lash adjusters. I do not know much about valve guides except that bronze will not break and heats up differently than the surrounding aluminum. I also know that the revised 3mm lash adjusters provided increased oil flow and can remove the lifter tick so this package seems like a very good price point for a large part of my head rebuild needs.

My question is has anyone purchased engnbldr bronze valve guide and lifters? Would you recommend them or should I get guides and lash adjusters separately?

Note: this vehicle will be run on pump gas, so i'm not worrying about corrosive effects of E85.

That seller has been around for some time. Like the information you have already reviewed, the said parts are good quality and proven in the DSM community. I would have no problems purchasing from that seller again.

Last I heard, the new Engnbldr 3G lash adjusters are a new design, which isn't as good as the old design. Now, I can't confirm it's actually true, nor do I have any evidence the new are inferior to the old. I mention it because I'd recommend looking into the current design, and identifying any shortfalls (if in fact there are any) before you purchase. Perhaps someone running the new Engnbldr lifters can chime in.

I am personally using a set of his old ones. They work great, no ticking.

As for the valves, I've only ever heard good things. He has some great products for the price.

The link I posted outlines the changes in design:

Both holes are smaller on the new ones. Some of the caps are very loose and pressure can escape from underneath them. Not too happy with that. I'm going to try to crimp them down tighter. I emailed him about them. He told me his distributor passed away and has found a different source since last year. He can't get the other ones anymore.

Again, not saying ANY of the Engnbldr lifters are good or bad, just something I'd look into if i were in the market to buy some from him.

I put a set of his stainless valves in my forged stroker motor.

If you're not building a full on race car don't even waste your time with bronze guides. To have them properly installed cost way too much money. If your guides are bad get a new head. It's cheaper.

Thanks for all the info! I decided to get the valves and bronze guides (called the shop and they give me a fair price to get the exhaust set done as that is all the shop reccommended)

I didn't end up picking up the lifters as there were too many unknowns for me and I just didn't feel comfortable since the galant forums weren't sure on the new versions either.
