I was doing some maintenance on my 95 GS-T the other day and I noticed some oild leaking from the valve cover gasket. I head over to Kragen, bought a fresh valve cover gasket, went home, and started to work on getting the valve cover off.

I believe that I got all of the bolts off of the valve cover (I got all the relatively large ones on top off), but the valve cover is stuck. I've tried pulling it off with all my force, but the darn thing won't come off.

Two questions:

o Has anyone else had this problem before? If so, how did you get around it?
o Does anyone have a diagram pic of the engine valve cover that they can upload (so that I can ensure that I got all the right bolts)?

Thanks a TON for your help.

Actually, nevermind. I actually was able to setup a cooky contraption with a long wooden rod and a jack to slowly lift the valve cover off. I left this contraption with tension for about an hour and the valve cover finally came off. Woohoo!

are you replacing the lil half moon plug on the side and the spark plug rings to on the valve cover? i got the whole kit with the valve cover gasket on ebay for 20 bucks works like a charm that little half moon likes to leak

I dunno about the screwdriver. Those heads are kinda soft and our valve cover is made of paper it seems. Rubber hammer is a good idea. I just grabbed the lower part of mine and shook the motor for all I was worth and it came off. Give a bunch of good whacks all around.
