1 : Yes, I've searched.

2 : See Below

So I just got my GSX to the point of starting. My manual gives very vague details in the vaccum hose routing so I thought I'd search here....and I've stumbled across something that I'm unsure about.

Deleting the Vaccum lines.

Now... what is the point of this? What negative effects does it hold? What are the Pros? My GSX is completely stock.. well.. mostly, but no performance mods in the engine. It's freshly rebuilt and hasn't even been broken in yet. Since I honestly don't feel like going through that mess of vaccum hoses... should I just delete them? Should I also just eleminate my EGR? o.o;;

Some feedback would be lovely.

you have less chance of vacuum leaks...

xD simple enough.

The reason I was looking was because the engine will run for a few seconds and then starve and die. I know I have some of the hoses backwards. Someone had this engine bay apart in the distant past and hoses are all kinds of routed weird...

So I'm looking at...

Removing Hose Clutter.
Freeing Up Engine Bay Space
Deleting my EGR
And Eliminating 70% of vaccum leak hassle?

... Sounds worth it.

Yeah... we don't do emissions here.. o_o;;

So... just a quick question. Would any of the lines that i'll be removing..cause the engine to choke and die if any were reversed or plugged in the incorrect place?

Lol. Yeah. The Problem ended up being a bad MAF plug. ;P

As far as the lines, we re-ran them and took our time. The damned manual is so vague about their location on the TB.
