use this v-cover or keep my shaved and polished one

just looking for some thoughts here... I welded a -8 and -6 set of fittings on the valve cover a year ago and then never did anything with it. Well, while paingint my rims this color the other day i taoped off the fittings and shot it as well, then couple days later i scuffed the lettering and painted them red by hand and re-cleared the entire thing... (also did my cowl piece and a few other odds and ends)

but the thing is i can't decide if i want to keep my polished and shaved valve cover or run this one (sorry don't have a pic on hand but you can imagine a polsihed one as many peole have them and mine is well done) and this one matched my rims perfectly

the only thing some may see "wrong" with this one is that the baffles are out of it.. I had rewelded them back in but due to heat, the way cast canact when welded and then put through heat cycles, i got too nervouse to run and risk it and just pulled the baffle back out and ground off where i re-welded the nubs that held it in( i have no problems running a baffle-less v-cover)

telll me your thoughts ( the engine pic is just a testament of a DSM addiction.. i brought a bare block home from my folks house cause they;re putting it on the market and within the night i assembled a complete engine from parts that i had within eyesight of my normal 'paths" through the house lord knows what i'd find if i actually searched

I think that thing looks sweet! I like the polished and shaved look, but I like a nicely painted/powdercoated one even better and that one is just badass looking IMO.

The black and red looks good. Maybe just a coat or three of clear to give it a gloss shine...?

it's got about 4 coats of clear on it already.. in person it's just beautifull, but i get mexmorized by polished aluminum and have had the hardest time deciding.. all my friends say the black and red as well so it looks like i'll be clappin 'er on this weekend..
