Hey i have searched, but could not quite find what i was looking for. I need to know what intercooler piping i should run with the stock sidemount, and t25. I plan on upgrading to a Evo III so i don't want to have to change pipes when i get that turbo. Any particular brands that are good quality for cheap? :thumb: (on a budget) Any help would be great.

ok well when you change to the evo3 your going to have to do something funky with the licp because the evo has an up facing outlet, while the t25 has a passenger side facing outlet. i suggest getting an uicp now, (asuming your not getting an fmic) and buy the licp with the evo3, although I dont know how the piping is set up on a 2g, so it might be easy to get a licp for a t25 to work well with an evo 3

dejon has great quality and relatively cheap prices

I also recommend dejon's upper intercooler pipes. You can get them flanged for just about any blow-off valve and install is very quick and easy. They're also available in different colors, and sized for MAFt blow-through setups. Basically, he's got just about whatever you might need.

For the lower intercooler pipe, you're going to need a J-pipe and an L-pipe to meet up with the stock side-mount intercooler. These will either come with an install kit if you go that route, or you can purchase them separately, again from dejon, or elsewhere.

dejon has anything for anything

and they are priced really well, i'd recommend them over anyone else.

the uicp for 2nd generations is actually two parts. One of those goes from the intercooler to about the bov, then the other goes from there to the throttle body. To have the full thing you would need both of those. However the most important part is the second link you posted, that replaces the flat plastic part of the pipe and the bov flange.

i made my own for my daily driver. i used an hks throttle body elbow i had layin around, cut the bov flange off the stock pipe and welded it to new 2.5 inch pipe. a 2.5 inch 90 with a straight piece. didnt cost me a dime. check it. i also made the turbo outlet pipe. took a 1 7/8'' ID pipe, lathed the OD down to fit in the stock piping, made a flange and cut a bunch of angles to make the right degree bend, welded them all together, grinded the outer welds down and took a carbide bit to the inside to smooth it all out and voila, a turb outlet for $1.75. if you dont have all the machine shit i have its a bi*** tho.

I would go to www.dejonpowerhouse.com for interlcooler piping. :D :thumb:

Yes, GReddy does make hard intercooler pipes that route to the stock side mount intercooler. They're decent pieces but it's pretty difficult to find bad quality intercooler hard pipes.

My money goes to Dejon. I'm running their hard pipes and I've never been happier... the hard pipe kits come complete with everything you need - couplers, clamps, gaskets, every nut and bolt you can think of.

We've all been preaching Dejon so I think that says something :thumb:

Hey so yea I called greddy and the guy said that you cant put the greddy upper intercooler pipes on if you have a stock side mount and factory turbo. Either way I got the dejon pipes. So well see how good they are. I was just wondering if I can use the L and S pipes for my car if I upgrade the intercooler and turbo?

If you are going to upgrade sidemounts, (Supra, Dejon, etc) than your new pipes should work. Some fmic's use a similar pipe routing, others not, so you will have to make that choice at that time.

It's a really simple job. Don't worry. :thumb:

Sweet underhood shot! (keep an eye on your timing belt, a friend has 2 small rock-holes through his, still runs OMG ) 99GSTman, note that he has a down-facing conpressor. A 14b, 16g variants, would need a J-pipe.

I have the dejon tool uic piping but only to a little past BOV, all the way to the throttle body isn't going to make a big difference on stock cars. Pull off passenger side tire unbolt fuse box to get it out of your way, take the bolts out of the plastic fender liner so you can get to the intercooler outlet. Make sure you get couplers when you buy the pipe or you can make your own for pretty cheap. Now take off the bullshit plastic uip stocker and place the dejon in it's place. I would recommend getting one thats flanged for a 1g bov and have fun!

See the two pipes I bought for my car dont look like the pipes on his car. I have a long pipe with a HKS bov flange at the far right. That pipe is strait then I have another pipe thats a S that goes up to the throttle body. Why is that? I have a stock side mount and turbo.

Can you put some pics up of this? Do the pipes you mention look like any of the ones I have here of my old 16G?

Well I got both my pipes installed and it was a perfect install. I am extremely happy. I will post photos as soon as I get my camera back from my dad.
