Hey guys
I will get right to the point I have a 90gs fwd turbo that is completely stock except for a fuel pump and a boost controller. The upper pipe between the bov and the side mount has a huge hole in it. The hole is about the size of a nickel and it was directly below the stock clamp that was connected to the bov hard pipe( the hole was after the lip on the bov pipe).
I guess what I am trying to find out is how is the world did it melt the clamp to make it brake!! I didn't think it got that hot. I thought maybe the side mount might be messed up or something causing it to heat soak and lose it cooling ability's. My guess about the clamp is that it put it through so many heat cycles that is made the clamp extremely weak and brittle. So after some time it broke under boost.
I am just not sure how it happened so... any idea just let me know. thanks
