Upgraded valves, springs and retainers needed?

Hey im building a 7th gen galant will have a 4g64 bottom end with eagle rods and wiseco pistons, and a 1g head. Is it necessary to upgrade the factory 1g valves and valve springs? Car will be revved to 7.5k and wont be over 450-500 hp in the future. Just wondering if I need to spend the extra 500 or if it can be used elsewhere.

I would suggest some new valve springs, normally the age of the spring and the mileage on them have weakened them.

If you are staying with a stock cam, or a smaller 272 like BC, HKS or the Comp/FP2 about any single spring with the stock retainer will be fine.

As long as you have the factory 6T valves you will be ok.

Thank you that us what I was thinking was worried bout the miles on them. is there any brand springs u would recommend I was looking at the single gsc behive springs that you can use with factory retainers.

I was in this predicament a week or so ago. I'm running a stock rebuilt 6 bolt with Web 546/547 cams and plan on running it out to 7.5k and around 440awhp. Bogus recommended the BC 1100's with stock retainers.
