i have recently put my new motor in and gotten it to the dyno, it made 409whp and 375ftlbs of torque, boost was at 22psi and tapered down to 17.9psi due to a cheap wastegate that i sghouldnt have bought, runs were on a mustang dyno, last time i dynoed it was on a dyno jet so the numbers would have been higher if i had decided to go back to the dyno jet place but we have been going with the mustang since it puts load on the car as if i were on the road.
then the bad news happened as i was driving home and something in the tranny gave and blew a 6inch hole in the bottom of my tranny. hopefully it will be up for NOV. 8th with new wastegate and tranny, we will then have the boost at 28psi and shoot for 480ish to the wheels. should be peppy!!
 
Wow, that's very impressive. Great numbers.

Can you tell us what some of your mods are? What are you tuning with?
 
Can you PM me where you had you car dyno'd? Ever since bridges performance closed I don't know where to go, and I don't want to go all the way north since I live over by Henderson.

mods are weiseco pistons, eagle rods, crower springs and retainers, ferrea ss valves, arp head studs, stock head gasket and cams, star turbo mani with a t3t4 60 trim garrett attached, a ssautocrap wastegate, 24-10-3 intercooler, greddy type s bov, all piping done in house and tig welded at trevtec, gude throttle body with a ported stock intake manifold, port fueler with 500cc injectors, head pnp, clutchmasters stage 5 clutch, might be stage 4 not sure though, i just got the highest one i could get. all put together and tuned by us at trevtec

yeah it sucks about bill bridges, he was a cool guy. that is where we use to dyno at alot of the time but we now dyno at dougs dyno power he is located in henderson.

it is right off the 215 a little east of fiesta on lake mead parkway.

i dont have a scanner so it will take a while to get them up talonesi-t but if you go there he will pull up the sheets for you im sure of that.

I can verify this for everyone if they want because I am planning to get my car dyno'd as well.

Of course my number will not be like that since my clutch is slipping like crazy, and im very rich (in fuel of course).
 
Well, nice numbers first of all. Second, I hope you can put down that WHP but actually have a reliable daily driver too. That would be better to see then a dyno queen.

How about you re-name that thread title. Apparently it's ### enough for you to spend the money and time (couples THOUSAND) to make the car what it is.

EDIT: WHat ignition set-up are you using? You didn't advance timin at all with such high boost amounts and no MSn-S??
 
actually i like calling it a 420g-a-y and am actually gonna be selling it after i get it where it is supposed to be at power and time wise, i have a dis-2 on there.
 
No you like the 420a. See, I think its 420a g-a-y too, but I cannot bash something I support. Therefore, it's 420a. PAUL: Change the title! :thumb: It's too profane for my virgin eyes..

You should post the dyno sheets, and the video you made of that 12.4 pass, I call BS until you pop the hood. No offense or anything, but 12.4 and 22psi on a stock 420a is ridiculous luck.
 
The video has been posted 8 billion times already...how bout the dyno sheets :rolleyes:
 
i was never running 22psi on a stock motor i was running 16psi on stock motor and there is a member here that can verify what is under my hood, hell he can even go under the car and play with the diff if he likes. the dyno sheet was also posted when i was running 12.4s. the mod list is above and touched nothing on the dis-2 except for max rev because for some unknown reason my car has no rev limiter.
 
What type of LSD are you running? So there WAS an LSD on the car when you ran the 12.4 1/4?
 
stock diff was and is in the car, i was saying he could touch the diff through the 6inch hole that is in the tranny.
 
Something isn't adding up here. Let me get this straight:

STOCK 420a motors boost @ 16 psi (with a T3/T4 mind you) with NO LSD ran a 12.4 using drag radials?

Do you have the stroker? Cams? This is seriously upsetting. I need to get my car to the damn track and see what I'll run. Last time I netted a 14.2 @8psi. But I couldn't go past 6k because I have yet to tune the car or hook it up to a wideband. So I didn't want to risk it..

I don't know man. This is just hard to believe. 12.4 with a STOCK motor? On 16 psi nonetheless.... IF IT IS REAL, PROPS to you bro. :rocks:
 
when it ran all those 12.4 passes it was a completely stock motor from valve cover to oil pan and yes 16psi seemed to work fine for almost a year till i got sick of that power level and had the money to just build a spare motor and slap it in.
who said anything about DR's, i ran those times with 24.5-8.5-15inch M&H slicks on weld draglites, i do run nitto DR's on the street and they dont hook for shit now, on my way home they were spinning through 3rd and some of fourth gear.

I need to see these dyno sheets and 1/4 slips. Sorry bro, you need some video clips of the hood popped too. ESPECIALLY if you claim 12.4 on a stock 420a motor. I cannot see why you didn't tape the engine bay if you were trying to prove the 420a can handle power of that sort in stock form. ESPECIALLY if you're posting it up on DSM forums...
 
I talked to doug at the dyno shop and he confirmed that less than a few days ago a talon with a 420a motor came in and threw down about 403whp, didm't have the sheet in front of him, but he was there for the dyno.

Im going to go and get my car dyno'd tonight and I'll ask him for the sheet so I can post it up for you guy to see...

Oh I believe him with the 402WHP claim, but things are MUCH different when the car is underload, and driven at that.

12.4 is what I remain skeptical over.
 
Have you not searched at all....that damn vid of his track run is everywhere. Whether or not it's been proven that he was indeed completely stock running 16psi, I don't know. I want to see this dyno pull that he claims will clear 450whp no problem.

EDIT: oh yeah, and how bout a vid of the car running right now...spinning dr's into 4th gear

So... I see the thread title has changed.... how coincidenetal...

X- I've seen the damn video dude. I know no1 knows if it's stock or not. Thus my previous posts stating WHY he would showcase the 420a power but never even show the actual 420a motor in the car.

I dont want a video of some eclipse raging around the streets unless you actually show the 420a motor IN THE CAR before it's posted. Then I'll believe it... Maybe....

You guys are missing the point. I could post a vid of my buddy's GSX running 11.8's and claim it's a 420a too... You guys want to see a 11 second 420a? Bet you all do. ANYONE can post an eclipse video and say it's a 420a. Unless you actually pop the hood for others to see the motor, I call BS. Sorry.
 
Sorry for posting so late, but I had a real long talk with doug at the dyno shop...

That was his car on the track and was the same car that dyno'd a few days back, even confirmed by Doug. Here are some pics of the dyno, I had him print it out for me sorry AWD he said you wouldn't mind probably.

Just showing so this doesn't turn into another suieclipse thread..^.^
