I just got finished making a custom piece for my FMIC that would 1) cover up the nasty gap between the bumper and FMIC and 2) to bring a little more air to the fmic that Im loosing being it sits a bit high. With lowering the FMIC not an option (my dad doesnt want me to cut any more of the radiator support for the short-route piping to go lower), we opted to make a cool looking plate to keep it from looking to out of the norm.

Im trying to decipher wether I should polish it or paint it black. Its not actually mounted yet the pics were taken with it just taped to the bottom of my FMIC. Im mounting it with 3M adhesive. Tell me what you think. Hope this is the right section to post this in....didnt know where else to put it.

**EDIT- NEW PICS AT THE BOTTOM! Cleaned the car and mounted the piece to the FMIC. Its sturdy as ever...its not going anywhere...its now apart of the FMIC LOL.**

Looks great! I'm not too much of a fan of excessive CF, esp. since it prob. won't be for performance/weight loss, but purely asthetics, I would color match it with the bumper myself, but thats just my style, we all have ours, regardless of which, its very cleanly done.

Is your car not lowered?

Hey thanks a lot guys! Im really happy with the way it turned out even tho it took 2 seconds to make LOL.

RedTurboEclipse, yes my car is on the stock suspension. Wheel gap and body roll FTL.

Functional and aesthetically pleasing.:thumb: I agree with everyone else, looks great the way it is. Painting it would make it look cheaper IMO. Are you confident that the adhesive will hold up to the heat, vibrations, wind pressure, etc?

Also, painting or polishing the intercooler will add a bariier layer of "insulation" to it and keep it from working up to it's full potential. learned that in my moto-x days with stripping our radiators

No LOL. Theyre real/ true/ authentic carbon fiber.

Come'on guys! A little searching goes a long way.....

They will do pretty much just about anything in CF or custom fabs. I'm looking into them, making some custom fog light covers for my car....plexi covered, fog lights that are still functionable yet cover them from debri and rocks.

BTW, ILLiCliPSE. Sorry for ruining your "secret" on the fog covers, LOL. :) Just trying to help others out!
