make sure the cv joints are in and sealing..
just push and pop them in and make sure the mounting brackets on the joint is on there.

just out of curiosity,

what type of car did u give up for the dsm.
was it a trade?

yes they're hooked up to the transmission.

and i once had a code for a bad tcu, and my car would shift right.
Idk why tho.

The CEL went away magicly and never showed up again.
Time of the month i guess.

doesnt sound bad.
Throw in a bit of work and you'll have a better outcome.

How does this pertain to the op, or thread.A tcu is easy to bypass and make sure its not the tranny, it's the tcu.

So everything is fine with the transmission except 4th gear aka od? These cars are known to have weak end clutches and that is probably your problem. Easy fix.

this thing is being a true mitsubishi. its sentimental as hell had the IAC blow on me today ### it slipped when I put it into overdrive like always and reved hella hi, it goes to like 4 rpms then skips straight to redline hella fast it aslo blew a spark plug wire idk what the hell is going on but o/d is barley working slips 95% of the time sometimes it catches.

I did a transmission fluid change and filter, and to my not so suprise the transmission fluid was brown with little tiny metal particles floating around also to make matters worse the idiot who put the tranny filter in the last time left the pan bolts on hand tight so it was also leaking.

so the tranny fluid change resulted in no slippage thang good but still cant engage those gears past 50 with o/d on any ideas??? I would like to fix this problem so I can drive this car right 50 mph just aint cuttin it
