im starting to put my build back together and i still dont have cams so im thinking about gettin cams. im not sure which ones to get. i just had my head rebuilt by dsm graveyard. i was thinking about the frankenstein 274 but i was told i would need springs and the same for BC 272. what would you suggest?

my mods are:
dejon tools intake mani
50 trim turbo with external wastegate
RC 550cc injectors
JE pistons
safc 2

2slow4utsi Kelfords. Stop buying BC...this goes out to everyone.

I don't think everyone has problems with them, but enough people do that would cause me to say the same thing. In some cases they ruined heads that were just built. I'm in the same boat you are and I am getting a longblock built from DSM Graveyard. I think I will go with the 274 from DSM Graveyard though, since I am changing springs.

I agree with Jay, get much bigger injectors and a better tuning program: ECMLink, DS-MAP, CeddyMod. Until you can push your turbo the cams won't make too much of a difference other than some potential lag.

Depending on the brand you go with will determine wether or not upgraded springs and retainers will be needed. High lift and duration Kelford 272 cams are much different than HKS or BC 272 cams.

If you are dead set on getting cams now, look into Delta cams or even FFWD Connection DKS cams.
