question about cams

If I was you I would go with crower springs and retainers. Everyone says you dont need them but a good dsmer has blown 2 heads with 272/272's. They are only about $250 for the kit also a set of some stainless steel valves wouldnt be a bad idea. they are lighter and your less prone to break something.

if you're thinking about running any cams over stock, most vendors/shops/manufacturers are going to recomend that you upgrade your valvetrain - at the very least your springs and retainers.

272's are pretty agressive. unless you drive like your grandmother, you want to upgrade your valve train. if you've got your head all torn apart, you might as well upgrade your valves and guides with your springs and retainers.

The stage ones are the only cams that it isn't recommended to upgrade the valve train, but with 272's I'd def put the money into that why risk it you'd end up paying more in the long run if you do break something.
