unstroking a 2.3

Can you take just the crank out of a defect2.3 and put a stock crank back in will this work with thecpitons or not?

Yes you can is the short answer. Will the engine run? Highly doubtful, due to the pistons being about 6mm/.240 below the deck, and the drastic drop in static compression.

The crank has a groove in it wear thrust bearing rides causing it to eat the bearing.
