Aluminum rods in a 2.3

Had a previous thread that got way side tracked. I just wanted to let everyone know how the build is going.
I ordered MGP rods, THEY DO NOT FIT. Not even close, after careful measurements and consulting the machine shop the only aluminum rod that will fit is the Groden Racing Rods.
I took a large loss after selling the MGPs, but now the Grodens are on their way!

I just seen these rods on slowboys site the other day. Looked like a great price for a super beefy rod. Thats too bad about the fitment though. What was the reasoning behind the poor fitment?
