Unnecessary Sensors ???

I am going to remove the EGR and everything associated with it. I want to know what sensors are necessary for proper engine function and remove everything else.

Will be using Link V3 so I assume I can turn off any CELs that will come up from unneeded sensors. I am trying to clean up some of the clutter under the hood.

Also, I plan to do the simplified vacuum route for the engine.

As far as sensors you need all of them. Solenoids on the other hand you can get rid of them all.

this is a great thread as far as things to remove, regarding sensors and a 2g engine bay clean up.

I removed the boost and wg, solenoids, cleaned up really nice, eliminated plenty of those ugly lines everywhere.
