Underhood shifter bushings?

Ive been trying to put on a set of underhood shifter cable bushings. Ive got the new bushings in but I cant slide them over the pin beacause of what I think is a metal washen on the pin. I cant get if of though and ive tried almost everything. Anyone have experience with this?? Please help my car is laid up and me with it untill I can get these cables hooked back up.

Bump. Can anyone help me out here?? Its like a metal sleve washer that slides over the pin and I cant get the damn things off.

Sounds like the metal sleeve from the rubber bushing is stuck on. Try some PB Blaster to dissolve any rust/corossion.

Did you get the bearring ones off ebay, or the actual ones from Symbroski?

It is probably as flinguist stated.

I used rollerblade bearings, they were free. Works perfectly.
