"Ur" is not "you are".
There is a difference between "to" and "too".
When something is gotten rid of, it's not because you "loose" it. Something "loose" rattles. If you LOSE something, you can't find it.

And you don't want your brakes to break.

Yes, it matters here.

im gonna have to agree with eclipsemblue on that. in all reality im sorry to say that these forums are garbage for actually getting information about dsms, unless you contact somebody directly and talk about something through PM's or instant messenger with someone who seems like they know what they're talking about. the only thing dsmtuners is useful for is it's classifieds section and gallery, most of the links in the parts catalog dont even work and most of those dyno numbers are fake. some things in the tech guide are useful though. just my 2 cents.

now now, i wasnt trying to change the topic here. i was just making a simple little joke and some ppl take them the wrong way and have no sense of humor

This isn't meant to be rude but if you're saying these forums of garbage then just logout and don't come back or don't post in them... Sound simple?

If links in the parts catalog aren't working pm the links to luda and he will fix them. If you notice someone post fake information then link it to one of the moderators and we will resolve it. You're telling us things are wrong and instead of trying to contribute to fixing the issues you'd rather just complain about them.

Reminds me of all the people bitching about trees down in their yard with a chainsaw sitting in their garage and are just to lazy to cut it themselves.

Sigh,
John

Most garbage is self induced. If there are 12 different ways people spell "suspension" because "it doesn't matter", don't you think it has a direct correlation to how easy it is to access information about suspensions?

We aren't hard asses about grammar just for the same of being hard asses. ( well not all of us :D ). Grammar and spelling hugely affect the efficiency and availibility of good information. If you have a Master's in Suspension Dynamics and spell it "suspansion", no one will ever read your work and therefore any knowledge that could have been shared is now lost to all.

well stated,
and might I add that using partial product names hurts as well?

Greddy TT, and Greedy TT, and Greddy Turbo Timer will all give you differing results.

I agree. There was a time when I referred to this site as DSMTooners for the simple fact that there are so many instances of the blind leading the blind - misinformation (or unusable/unsearchable information) being spread by the uneducated and unintelligent masses. Once I took the time to examine the goals of the site from management's standpoint, I noticed the issue is not that the site has no direction, but an unwillingness by those with the repor and clout to enact change to do so.

I decided that, in order to effect change, these people (and I consider myself one of them) need to be the change they wish to see in the forums. My aim is to provide accurate information to those who require it and deliver it in such a manner as to entertain (when I can) so that the message sticks. Furthermore, I hope that I can possibly impress some of the new(er) people to spark a desire to set themselves apart from the unwashed masses by making an effort to post intelligently and be at least somewhat approachable.

It's not an easy fight and I have no desire to comment on even a third of the posts in the 2G N/T forum, but I'm making an effort to see if there is anything I can contribute in the new, active threads in that forum on a daily basis. If I can be an example to the new kids on the block, hopefully some of them will follow suit.

Actually, I'M the one removing your pointless and, to be blunt, quite idiotic posts.

So quit your goddamned whining already.

Anything else?

Respect?

You're the punk coming into our home telling us you don't like the way we run things.

If you don't like it, leave. That simple.

Punk.

v. owned
v. tr.

1.
1. To have or possess as property: owns a chain of restaurants.
2. To have control over: For a time, enemy planes owned the skies

Ok Guys,

Let's end the useless whoring of this thread and NOT end it in getting closed also. Please all people posting in this thread read the rules that you abide by each time you hit submit. The one I'm being specific to is ...

2. No insults, name calling, smart ass replies, or any other replies that violate our posting policies.

I'm not saying I'm perfect by no means and I know I'm far from it but honestly guys can't you act a little more "adultish" than you're acting right now it's not funny the way people are bickering in this thread. If you have something useful to add to this thread then please contribute. If you have a problem with the way something was handled or the way a certain person is handling a problem you have pm Ludachris or pm L2RTSIAWD or even PM ME and I'll make sure that one of them will get the information if I have to call Chris or txt message John, it WILL get taken care of.

After this reply please keep all replies sensible and maybe a little bit of proper grammar.
Dictionary.com is also your friend guys.

Thank you
John

Everyone's entitled to their own opinion I guess. If it's that bad, why not pick up a broom and help us clean it up rather than just throw stones?

Just to let you know, we're working on the links in the Parts Catalog - it sucks when vendors change their site and don't let us know, which makes our links useless.

If your post consisted of something meaningful other than "this is a free country" and "kiss my ass", I'm sure it wouldn't have been removed. However, it contributed nothing to your argument or this discussion. All it did was tell us that you have little more to say on the subject aside from insulting people who are trying to keep some type of order. You're quite "free" to take your bad attitude elsewhere, and I know a few other DSM sites who would love to have you as a member... at least until you disagree with their policies.
talondude4, you sure you want to agree with this guy? I can hardly understand his run-on sentences.

Well, the way I see it this site is a privilege to us all and ever since I've been a member it has helped me out hundreds of times. Really it isn't that hard to put some effort into what you type and especially isn't hard to show some respect. I know I DIDN'T create this site so that means I must abide by whatever rules have been put down because all in all this is a privilege to be using such an educational site. Sam

LOL you live in a forum?? how??

jk

i know i have an attitude problem here at times, but then again i dont bi*** when my posts get edited or removed. normally i agree with the decision being made. while this is a free country etc etc, the owners and moderators of this site also have the freedom to delete your posts as they see fit. and if you break the simple rules, expect to be punished. maybe a new rule should be established that bitching about getting your posts deleted will get you suspended or something somewhat less harsh. its as easy as follow the rules or pay the price. dont break them unless you're willing to suffer the consequences. maturity is not necessarily in your actions themselves, but whether or not you take responsibility for both the good and bad decisions you make.

Chris I have learned that sometimes you have to agree just to get some people to close there mouths. So if i say yeah agree then he would be like OK I'm done I got what I wanted, most people just want to be heard. :|

Funny you should say this - we do actually mention in the rules about not publicly complaining if your post is locked or deleted. It's in Rule #2, and it's been there for a very long time. We ask them to take it up with a Moderator or myself offline. I guess we need to start punishing people for that now too. :toobad:

And this thread has prompted me to post a sticky about this this subject:
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=199543

As Defiant said, "u" is not "you". And "i" is not "I". At least not in the Tech Forums. Please try and use proper grammar when participating in our Tech Forums from now on. We don't want to have to punish people for such a trivial issue, but if we need to do so in order to get people to comply, we will. If you must have an outlet to type like a 3rd grader or to have some fun, use the Hangout. Help us kick the professionalism up a notch in the Tech areas. Please - just do so without complaining and arguing about this. Some people want so badly to express themselves by misspelling things - just don't do it in the tech forums.
