Okay so i just took out the ebay turbo so i can swap on my Small evo16G. :D I noticed something very concerning and if anyone knows what size bolt goes there it would make my life easier and any info on what it could have been affecting. The car drove perfect besides the transmission which my mechanic diagnosed awhile back as a bent input shaft.(may not be related and he never saw this.)

See "Flywheel Upper Cover Plate (Starter Plate) to Transmission (flange)" in http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-miscellaneous/437697-what-size-bolt-nut-stud-fastener-1g-version.html for the first part. This missing bolt will not affect the operation of the transmission.

For the second part, are you referring to the exhaust manifold studs? You're missing one and it needs to be in place. I'm sure if you search here or Google a little you'll find the part number for that and the nuts used to clamp it all together.

Thanks, excellent info i didnt even think to look in there.

I meant inside there how the (Valves??notsure.) all are closed besides number 2 over from the drivers side. I have the studs, thanks for that info too.

Think about it...how many cylinders would you expect to have valves open at one time? If you're not sure take the valve cover off and turn the crank over by hand. That should explain it.

I'm new to engines, and i would expect 2 open, but i am changing the valve cover gasket too, so i will see what it looks like from there.

But i could see why it is only 1 at a time also.

Valves open in a set. If one set are not matching with each other there's something off. The fact that one cylinder has one exhaust valve open is not a good sign. Pull the valve cover.

That's a good point should be 2 valves per cylinder open at a time.

Thanks, ill pull the valve cover tonight and post up more pictures.

Make sure you follow the torque specs when you re install the valve cover, they are pretty easy to crack.
