The JDM galant GTZ-VR-4, came with 2.5 liter, twin turbo, all wheel drive. LOOK INTO IT BEFORE YOU CRITICIZE

Looked into it. Couldn't find it. Can you? A link would be nice.

Did it. Find us a picture of one of those, would you?

Theres one in the DC area, in fact its a JDM VR-4. Also while I was in Germany I saw some at the Nurburgring. I got video of it, along with some other variouse EVOs 2-8. too bad I lost the tape. It is actually the EASIEST JDM supercar to import due to the fact that its JUST a Galant. flies under the radar. The Type-R trio, EVOs, Supras, RX-7's, ect. from Japan are all looked at real hard to get imported....but the Galant is....just a Galant.

Heres some goodies though.

The 91 VR-4 Galant was a 2.5 litre dohc twin turbo with awd, aws and 4 wheel abs. I have a picture of the engine bay.

The motor(s) were available in two forms, 2.0L and 2.5L. The 6A12TT was 2.0L and the 6A13TT 2.5L. The 6A12TT was both available in the FTO and the Galant VR-4 and the 6A13TT was only in the Galant VR-4. They are a very, very close relative of the 6G72.

If anyone wants closer pics, I have 6A12TT setting in storage.

Below is a 6A13TT.

I've actually heard that twin turbos are superior to a single on v-configured (not inline) engines. Is this true? Why or why not?

It totally depends... Thats similar to saying V8s are better than I4s in the quarter mile.

Twin turbos are a little bit nicer as far as the exhaust side goes. Its easier to fabricate twin turbos on v6s and v8s because the exhaust is normally MORE of a straight shot than it is otherwise. It typically flows better because of this. The intake piping is usually WAY more of a hassle.

Single turbos typically make more power, IMO this is mainly due to ease of tuning, controlling, and sizing the single turbo. They are usually harder to route the exhaust too, and it usually can't flow as well.

Different strokes for different folks. Its all generalizations until you max out each setup with the best tuning and control tools available, and even then you have issues of twin turbos creating more heat in the engine bay, or trying to actually FIT a single turbo in the bay in the first place.

I found this photo while searching in google for a turbo photo for a school project. Its a 4g63 thats been twin turboed. Anyone know anything about this car? I heard it doesnt do much for the car but thought it was an interesting find nontheless.:thumb:

You do realize that you didn't post a photo or a link to one right?

1 turbo for 2 cylinders...I wouldn't think 2 cylinders would push much more than a T25.

edit: I see that it is 2 T25s tied together for a supposedly 20G output. Wouldn't it be easier to just buy a 20G??? I guess anything is possible with enough money and parts, but I wouldn't do it.
