turn signal stalk issue

Well this morning it was 8 degress so i should have known better than to drive my car, but i did, and i put on my right turn signal and now it does not stay on anymore. It works fine, but I need to hold it there to get it to stay on. Am I going to need to replace the stalk, or might it be possible to fix? Also, anyone know how much one of these units will cost from the dealer?

Just get one from the junkyard.Sebrings and Avengers are the same and easier to find.Pretty interesting how you guys park up there.

I have had similar problems with previous cars. Non-dsm as well. Usually happens when the spring inside of there gets off it's pillar and doesn't hold the stalk up. No big deal. Go to a junkyard or check ebay for one.

Ok, so I'm getting the part, and I looked in my service manual to see how to do it...

so I gotta take off my steering wheel to do this? And the airbags as well I'm assuming? This is looking like a huge pain to fix.

Hey mine recently broke on my 97 Eclipse and its stuck on blinking one way the whole time. neways.. umm i dont think you have to take the steerign wheel off or airbag.. on the bottom side of the plastic shrouding of the colum there is couple screws that once u take them off you will be able 2 acess the columm to change the blinker.. I hope thas all i have 2 do as im getting ready 2 replace mine this weekend.. I got lucky and found one on ebay for 20bucks shipped last week
