This may be a little bit hard to follow but I am going to explain as much as I can.
(Story) Drove home the other night and while getting off the freeway I used the blinker and when I turned the wheel back the lever clicked but the signal did not go off. So I had the pleasure of driving home with a stuck blinker looking like a blue haired crazy going down the street.
(Finding the issue) After getting home and doing some forum searching I noticed that the control arm has a pin that sometimes breaks inside the column and that it is a common fix to replace the turn signal switch and that should fix it. After taking the column cover off and getting the switch out I noticed that the pin was still there.
(INFO NEEDED!) When I switch the blinker switch to the right, the pin goes strait out and solid. But when I switch the blinker to the left, the pin goes up and solid. I just wanted to check to see if it is functioning correctly before I spent money on a new one. Also I do not hear anything shaking around inside the switch.
Thank you for any help you can give me. In case you do not know what part I am talking about, the part # is MR277924 also new one on ebay (link) OEM MITSUBISHI Turn Signal/Headlight Switch/Lever NEW | eBay
