I'm looking at at t3-t4 Turbonetics 60-trim turbo for my gsx... I was just wondering if any one knows how this turbo responds to our car, spool ranges, overall performance, and if anyone knew about their wastegates?? I know turbonetics is a very reputable company and they make damn good products.

Well, I've never used one, but I've looked into the 50 and 60 trim T3/T04E turbonetics turbos.
Here's what I noticed about the compressor maps:
The 60 trim is very efficient, a couple percent higher than the 50 trim. But the 50 trim can do a pressure ratio of about 3.2 at 45 lbs per minute, while the 60 trim can only do a PR of about 2.7 at 45 lbs per minute. I figure those PRs are good for about 27 psi (50 trim) and about 21 psi (60 trim). I'm sure you'll be able to find people who run their 60 trims a lot higher than 21 psi. But since that runs them off the map, it will lose the efficiency advantage vs the 50 trim. So if you would like to run, say, 25 psi - probably would do better with the 50 trim. The 60 trim can flow a couple lbs per minute more than the 50 trim, but only at lower boost pressures. What this means I think is that the 60 trim is more for larger engines that don't need such high boost to get the flow. On a 2 liter DSM, you might need 25 psi to max things out.
I can't check these numbers out right now because Turbonetics has pulled all their compressor maps since they started up their new web site. For all I know they might even be in the process of revising their maps. Anyway, I really like the 50 trim for our cars. I'm not so sure about the 60 trim.
