Okay so i've been really busy getitng my new talon back in shape. I need to start gettin my supporting mods and not really sure what turbo to get which means i don't know exaclty what supporting mods i'm going to need. I was originally looking a turbonetics 60-1 but i think that might be a little to big for my goal of low 11s maybe high 10s(assuming I will need around 500hp). Car will be driven once or twice a week not a daily driverand will see track time. I have been looking at the fp3052 and i've seen alot of people say just get the fp3065 for 50 bucks more. From what i've read fp3052 should be right at or a little bloew my goals. My thing is I kinda of like tubular manifolds and an fp would use the stock manifold if i'm correct? So how does the turbonetics 60-1 compare?

I vote for the FP turbo. You can use a tubular with the FP turbo. Since it won't be a DD, look at FPs 3065. FP even has a race manifold that came out maybe a month or 2 ago.

get the 3065. i have a 3052 on my daily driven, stock block. but now that i'm going to a built motor, i wish i had that larger compressor wheel

My main concern is that the mitsu exhaust housing would not have as much power potential as a t3 or t4 exhaust housing. The turbo I choose defiantely has to be ball bearing though.

I know its not an exact mitsu housing but it uses the same flange pattern thats what i was referring to.You can only make a hole so big and have it still match up to a stock manifold.

I wouldn't over look the FP series of turbos, just because they have a Mitsu flange. That is about the only similarity between their housing & the stocker. It has a perfectly designed simetrical volute, with an A/R of .70 (not that this number means much as no other housing has the same volute as this) that will flow a tonn more compared to any other bolt on housing. Unlike most housings this one is designed specifically for the GT turbine wheel. You may think T3 is the best housing but here is some info you probably aren't aware of. Depending on what type of turbo you go with, even the factory T3 turbine housing may not be specifically designed for the turbine wheel your running, this applies if your going with the newer GT center section. The only Garrett T3 turbine housing that is specifically designed for the GT turbine wheel is the GT housing. This has a 4 bolt outlet & has an extended bell shaped turbine outlet that expands to 3". This housing isn't a simple bolt on to dsm becasue of clearance issues & there are very few that I know of running this housing & if they are there's alot of custom work & relocation of parts done (usually track specific cars trying to get the most HP out of their setup). The std 4 & 5 bolt housings that they sell with these GT turbos that have the normal 2.5" outlet, that most bolt up to our cars weren't desgined for the GT wheel. These are the older T31 housings that were used on the T3/T04 hybrids such as the 50 trim, 60 trim, 60-1 etc & where designed for those exhaust wheels, not the GT wheel. They have just been machined to accept the GT wheel. If your looking for more performance I would say the FP housing is going to net you more compared to the T31 T3 housing that most bolt on.

If this car isn't a DD, I would probably recommend the 3065 as this should meet both you 1/4 mile & hp goals without too much trouble.

Sorry about calling your manifold an obx it was ahrd to tell from the picture that dnp looks super nice and think i'm goin to be pretty set on the fp3065 now. So here another question where can i get this exact o2 housing?I know FP sells the actual main peice of the down pipe but will have to get my wastegate welded back in like the pictue or do they sell this actual housing?

FP sells the o2 housing above. They also have another 2.5" housing that fits regular 1G or 2G downpipes and comes with their optional dump tube.

That actual housing will cost you a small fortune. Its a 3" version & also has a vband clamp setup on the downpipe side, from what I've heard it will run you over $600. They do have another version available thats not on their site & I didn't know about till after I placed my order. It basically looks the same as the one in the pic, with the WG recirculated but is 2.5" & it is flanged on the downpipe end with a std 2.5" flange. This one is much cheeper, around $4xx I believe. You can also do what Im going to do. I bought their O2 housing & external dump but don't want to dump to atmosphere so Im taking it to my local custom exhaust shop & haveing them put an extension onto the dump & have it recirculated back into my downpipe further down, probably around the DP bend. I think in the long run this may actually be a better design as dumping back into the O2 housing will disrupt exhaust flow, dumping it back in further down will have a much smaller turbulance effect on the turbine wheel, for max effiency.

Fp proven in the dsm community. Go Fp and never look back. I have never heard a bad thing about them :thumb:

fp 3052 here also love it..and yeah to get that piece of rerouted art right there in the pic is about 600 bucks..dumping aint that bad..
