Hey i have a 6 bolt 91 non turbo. I am trying to install a 1g turbo trans in it because it was cheaper. So I got it in no problem and its bolted up. Time to put the axles in. It seems like the non turbo axles only go in half of the way then wont go any farther. Do i have to switch out to turbo axles or should the non turbo ones work. I thought they were the same spline and all becuase when i was going to turbo my non turbo (bad idea i know) i was going to upgrade to turbo axles. So if someone can correct me or tell me to keep trying i would appreciate it.

why does your avitar show a 91 awd car?
Anyways you can use the gst turbo tranny on the n/t 4g63 dsm
You will have a much stronger tranny and clutch by using the turbo tranny and
that tranny will be able to take anything the n/t engine has to offer, and would be
more considerablly important especially if your using nitrous.
You must use a turbo clutch and 6bolt flywheel though because the n/t clutch is different than the turbo clutch. Also the n/t crankshaft has a small locating pin for the flywheel, and you must grind this off to a smooth surface in order to use the turbo flywheel which doesnt have a small slot for this little nubbin on the crank ( unless you use a turbo crankshaft then you wont have to do this ). Your gear ratios will be slightly different as well, first and second will feel shorter, but the rest of the gears will definitly feel a lot longer but then again youd have to have the power to pull to the top of those gears efficently as well to make it feel right because the n/t is no where near the turbo cars hp output so it wont pull on the top end the same as the turbo car.
Other than that everything is directly bolt on and go. IMO dont use the 90s tranny since you dont have a 90s. I believe they are weaker, and they changed the shifters bracket on that yr from the other yrs 91-94.
