Turbo Swap for non turbo to turbo found on craigslist

I found this for sale on craigslist and was wondering it was a good deal. It would be nice to have to convert this clean 99 non turbo DOHC I found locally for sale and have a little turbo daily driver.

thats the link, I emailed the guy and it includes everything even if its not listed. I am not 100% sure if I will get the other car so if someone else on here trys to buy this its cool (its one of those deals I dont need it, but want it so I wont be mad if I dont get it). But is that a decent price? It seems to me like it is..

wont work. you have a 420a and those parts are off a 4g63.

$900 is steep for stock parts.

But yes, you are 420A and those are for a 4G63 which you would need to do a swap and need much more than that including a new engine and transmission.

so which cars 2g cars have the 46G3? are all the non-turbo DSM's the 420A?

The 4G63 only came on the 1g 2.0 and the 2g turbo models. The 2g N/T DSM came with the 420A.

No, not all would work on a 1g platform either. ECU is different along with some electrical parts. Head is different between 1g and 2g as well as the timing side of the block which will cause fitment issues for the waterpipe and such. You'll need to research what you can use on a 1g 4g63 from a 2g 4g63 or vise verse.

just realized the heads were different on a 1g. So these parts basically are only good if someone has the corresponding engine/trans..

Yes that is correct. But I do believe you can use the turbo and turbo mani on the 420a.

Still would have to get an install kit consiting of :

Intercooler (Could Use OEM 4G63 Side Mount)
Intercooler piping (From turbo to intercooler and intercooler to intake)
Turbo Intake Piping (could probably use the stock stuff from a 4G63.
Oil Feed and Return lines (multiple Stainless Braid Kits available)
Water Feed and Return lines (probably multiple kits available)
Gaskets
Blow off valve
Waste Gate.

Etc. There is a topic on here for how to make a stage 2 420a turbo kit for 1000$. You could probabaly look over that to get an idea of where to start.
