non turbo shift linkage on a turbo car?

i was told my car has a 1g non turbo 1.8 shift linkage on my car. is this the reason i cant get it adjusted right?im going this weekend to get a new linkage i guess and try that, but im not sure if its the turbo linkage or not and is the awd linkage the same?

all 1.8 and 2.0 n/t transmission cases are the same, So Your cables are the same aswell which would mean the answer to your question is NO, the turbo/n.t/4g63/4g37 all use the same cables.

Please remember: 1990' model cars were a bit different with either the trans' cable shift selectors, Or the cables. Here is a thread that you should definatly consider reading, If you used a 90 trans with your 93 cables, Or 90 cables with a 93 trans, (Vice-versa, Etc), Please read the link for full details and pictures and also alot of useful information:

not to bring a post back from the dead but seeing as how i couldnt find another thread similar to this...

did you ever find out the answer? looking for shift cables but its harder to find turbo part outs then nt, want to just get this over with... thanks
