I have a 96 tsi awd with the stock 7 bolt. I currently have a ported 14b running about 15 psi with all supporting mods: 3" turbo back exhaust, 850cc injectors, walboro 255, dsmlink, act 2600 with race disk, fmic, upgraded upper and lower intercooler piping, built tranny, and a few others. I have a garret gt28, similar to a 20g, that im debating whether i want to install or not. My main question is this: I am planning on converting to E85 soon, and am seeking advice on if i should tune it with the 14b or switch to the gt28. With the 14b right now running around 15 psi, it feels like a turd, so im not sure if turning up the boost and tuning with this turbo will get me the power that im looking for. If i could hit about 300whp on the 14b i think i would be pleased, but im not sure how typical this is on my setup. I do not really want to go through the hassle of installing the gt28, because i would have to change the whole lower intercooler piping setup. I have searched for results for the 14b on E85, but could not find many results. I would like to get other people's opinions on whether the 14b on E85 could achieve good power levels, or if i should just buck up and put the gt28 in.
