agreed, but you would probably gain even more power if you were to make a custom wall around your filter that doesnt come within a centimeter of the filter... more air = more power... break them loose in 3rd...

edit: just out of curiostiy, is it just my computer, or do other people see that my post was apparently made before the thread was created? i posted this at 10 pm and it says i did it at 7 40 am.... the clock on my comp is right,.. maybe ill check the time i have set for my cp...

OK, Well I learned somthing tonight that I should have already known. I was getting some kind of "missfire" it seemed in high RPM, well after trying everything I was getting mad wasting money. So I put the stock filter can back on realizing my air intake temp would be cooler, when I bought the car the "snorkel" was not on it. I noticed it had one looking at the layout of can. I read guys fighting about CAI doesn't do anything. Well this proves to me it does. Lowered my temp by 20*. Also I see guys will blow thru setup and having the filter right on turbo with stock sidemount. This must be worse with the radiator right in front with 200* water temp blowing it right in the filter. I'm going to run some kinda duct tubing in front of bumper to see how much lower it goes. Im breaking my tires loose in 2nd again and lost my "misfire". I originaly took the can off to hear turbo spool and bov. The point of this story is performance befor sound. A lesson from one noob to another.

cool its not just me...

i find it hilarious that this starts happening (i have been having problems getting on the forums too lately) the day i get my car back together and it wont start... theres irony for you,.....
