So I have my new 16g that I installed less than 5000 miles ago (its a cxr turbo and so far has been pretty good). I took it to my shop after noticing white smoke and figured my headgasket was blown. They did a compression test and told me it wasn't the headgasket. When thwy went to pressure test the cooling system they saw it leaking heavily from the turbo feed line, but not the return. They figured the coolant was getting into the system through the turbo.

Would I be able to test this if I blocked off the coolant lines running to the turbo? I've read you CAN do this although that seems a hop and a skip away from SHOULD do it. And how could I blow my freaking seals so quickly?

You would be fine if you dont run coolant lines to the turbo. Just dont shut your car off right after a hard pull. I dont run coolant in my 14b and i have had no issues. But like stated i bet your copper crush washers are junk.

Well the turbo leaking coolant out isn't my main concern. My crush washers wouldn't make me burn coolant, right?
