I have an aeromotive afpr kit, it came with two fittings for the adaptor off the fuel rail. As far as I can tell you're not suposed to put teflon tape on the fitting that connects to the adapter. Anyways both of the fittings leaked right there on the adaptor and I couldn't figure it out everything was tight. I asked the question on hear and didn't get much feedback. So I recently ordered an Earls fitting (the other 2 where no name brands I thought maybe they were just junk) and installed the ss hose onto it and screwed the fitting into the fuel rail adaptor. When I started the car it had low fuel pressure (22psi) but I didn't see fuel spraying 10 ft. into the air like with the other fittings. I assumed all was well except the fitting was wet with gas in the same spot as the other two. I can't figure out what I am doing wrong here. Should I put teflon tape on the fitting?Does something have to be lubricated? Any advice whould be greatly appreciated.

Did you tighten the fitting onto the adapter. Check the 35* flange on the adapter and make sure it's free of dirt. Check the flange on the fitting as well. Tighten it down finger tight then use a wrench to tighten it the rest of the way. The flanges have t meet in order to seal correctly. Any Teflon could cause gaps between the flanges and leak fuel.

I have them tighten down all the way but I'll check again tomarrow. It's always the easy things that give me the troubles.
